Colaford capsule belongs to a group of medicines called ‘nutritional supplements’ used to treat joint problems. Colaford capsule is recommended for the maintenance of joints, muscles, cartilage, the integrity of joints, bone health, joint pain, arthritic pain, stiffness, low back pain, tendonitis or tendinopathy (tendon pain). Joint pain refers to the discomfort, pain, stiffness and soreness in the joints.

Colaford capsule is a combination of four drugs: Collagen, Sodium hyaluronate, Chondroitin sulphate, and Ascorbic acid. Collagen helps in the regeneration of cartilage, thereby providing strength to the bones and improving joints’ flexibility. Sodium hyaluronate is similar to the joints’ fluid; this acts as a lubricant in the joints and prevents friction between the joints. Chondroitin sulphate prevents the breakdown of collagen tissue of the joints. Ascorbic acid or Vitamin C acts as an antioxidant that helps iron absorption, synthesises new collagen fibres, new blood vessel formation, and promotes healing at the joint site. Together, Colaford capsule helps in providing relief from pain and stiffness in the joints.

Besides this, it also acts at the cartilage site (tissue joints), thereby supporting repair and fluids for cushion and elasticity. Colaford capsule with or without food. Swallow Colaford capsule as a whole with a glass of water; do not chew, or break the tablet. Based on your medical condition, your doctor will decide how long you need to take Colaford capsule.

Do not take any other medicines for pain relief along with Colaford capsule unless prescribed.

Colaford capsule may have interaction with blood thinner or anti-coagulant (anisindione, dicumarol, warfarin), and antiseptic (benzalkonium chloride, cetylpyridinium).
